January Lodge of Instruction

Great start to the year and a very enjoyable and informative first "meeting" of 2021! The LOI team gave a presentation on the "Working Tools" - an important symbolic part of the Masonic journey and visible demonstration of the values that we adhere to in our daily lives.

We were also delighted to confirm 3 donations to very worthy causes from our Charity funds:

Sean Ash: Welling Round Table Member

Sean Ash contracted Cauda Equina Syndrome which effectively paralysed him from the waist down. Sean works as a Call Centre Operator for the London Ambulance Service and inspired by the initiative of Captain Sir Tom Moore's approach in 2020 has decided he will also walk 1 mile. We are delighted to support Sean with a donation of £50 towards his target of £1000

Shelton Foodbank

The Hanley Masonic Club in Shelton is actively supporting members of the local community by providing a Foodbank Service. To help support this work and reduce unnecessary travel during the Pandemic, the Lodge has made a donation of £50 to support Claire & Gareth in their efforts

Prostate Cancer Research

During the freemasonry suspension, Bro Pete Nacson has joined a group to help support the research into Prostate Cancer through Prostate UK and is undertaking to run a Marathon distance in January with this aim. The Lodge has generously contributed £50 in support of this valuable research cause.
